Title: Associate Product Manager

Position Description

The Associate Product Manager is passionate about building products that solve customer problems, support profitable business growth and make people HAPPY. This person will thrive in a fast-paced environment while working with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver on the company’s mission and strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for product management duties related to product launches, product improvement, and product rationalization initiatives and ensure targeted milestones are met on time
  • Identifying potential new products; conducting market research; determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction
  • Own and manage licensed account submissions, approvals and timelines
  • Clear understanding of brand pillars and category of responsibility, including market trends, competitive activity, category segmentation, consumer usage, sales performance and more to guide product development and assortment recommendations
  • Create and maintain seasonal development line list
  • Help to support the product development process from initial concept to final production stage
  • Assist in maintaining product database using internal tracking systems
  • Responsible for packaging coordination between product marketing and production teams
  • Own and manage BOM’s with product specifications and packaging for costing and final placement purposes
  • Communicate and develop partnerships with overseas vendors to evaluate vendor performance and determine key strategic partnerships; request price quotes as needed to ensure cost targets are met
  • Work closely with QA/Compliance team to ensure all product is meeting key account requirements
  • Monitors deliverables of key development milestones across multiple functions and pull weekly reports to track the development process/progress
  • Track and review incoming samples ensuring product specification accuracy and quality are acceptable
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Design, Purchasing, and Operations on all aspects required for successful program launch

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of product development or product management experience with a background in consumer goods, accessories, or apparel
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Clear understanding of the product development life cycle, including development, sampling, costing, packaging and production
  • Strong communication, organizational, writing and analytical skills
  • Extreme attention to detail, creative and critical thinker
  • Proactive self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Adobe Illustrator
  • PLM or PIM software preferred
