Director of Sales


Status:           Regular Full-Time / Exempt

Reports to:   VP of Sales



The Director of Sales is primarily responsible for the growth, profitability and day-to-day management of assigned account base and is responsible for developing long-range business strategies and annual business/sales plans for all designated items as well as building relationships through all levels of the account’s organization.  Other responsibilities include but are not limited to consistently delivering superior results through effective, innovative, and strategic business leadership.



  • Manage and develop existing MAMBI business based on Sales and Distribution strategy for their respective sales channel across all departments as needed.
  • Supply timely written and verbal market/ customer feedback. Analyze and develop strategic account action plans surrounding customer Point of Sale data, competitive forces, and retail/category productivity
  • Jointly establish annual key account specific goals with VP. Maintain knowledge of product availability and account status. Provide accurate monthly sales and product forecasts
  • Effectively communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales results
  • Management responsibilities include joint customer meetings/JBP facilitation, sales planning, presentation development, analysis, and development of business proposals.
  • Responsible for all sales and replenishment analysis and management
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all MAMBI business functions (including Marketing, Planning/Operations, and Finance)
  • Participate in industry tradeshows, sales meetings, and other company events as needed
  • Other duties may be assigned



Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum 7-10 years successful, direct selling experience in consumer products.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver compelling sales presentations/promotions
  • Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategies to achieve organizational goals; Understands organization's strengths & weaknesses; Analyzes market and competition; Identifies external threats and opportunities; Adapts strategy to changing conditions.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable of preparing accurate analyses, sale reports and forecasts as well as communicate and present it effectively.
  • Willing and able to travel 20% - 30% as needed
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office Products skills.

Duties require planning, organizing, and performing a variety of duties applying a wide range of procedures and rules.  Duties require attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, reliability, timeliness, alertness, and use of judgment.  Also requires writing ability, creativity, and concentration.  Access to and use of confidential data where discretion/sensitivity is of utmost importance.  Mature judgment and confidence.



Frequently required to walk, sit, talk, and hear.  Occasionally required to stand, reach, stoop, and handle and/or lift and up to 25 pounds.  Must be able to check reports for completion and accuracy and to retrieve and transmit information.  Use of general office environment equipment.
