Mid-Senior Level Graphic Designer
 
Status:           Regular Full-Time / Exempt
Reports to:   Senior Creative Manager

 

PURPOSE:  

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating artwork, image asset creation, and supporting all digital marketing efforts across the organization. This position will work with the internal team to support product launches, PR assets, digital campaigns, presentations, brand marketing, and internal/external events. They should be a self-starter, manage multiple concurrent projects, manage their deadlines, and understand the principles and processes involved in executing a design from concept to finished product. In addition, mentor and encourage junior staff on the Creative team. They will be working in a fast-paced environment, taking art-direction from the Senior Creative Manager, CMO, and input from fellow designers to turnaround art quickly.   

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Design and produce innovative, on-brand digital marketing assets
  • Work with art directors and staff members from sales, product, and marketing teams to conceptualize and produce creative solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Manage their assigned projects as needed to maintain a high level of efficiency
  • Seek ways to streamline work using advanced production techniques
  • Develop templates and efficiencies for commonly produced artwork
  • Use audience knowledge to create visual solutions that are perceived as relevant, understandable, and practical.
  • Design solutions that adhere to established brand guidelines
  • Complete responsibilities in a professional manner, always with the Company’s mission and goals in mind
  • Mentor and cross-train junior staff on intermediate/advanced design techniques
  • Other duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in digital art, graphic design, visual communications, marketing or related field required or equivalent of years of experience
  • 4-6 years of experience in a design role at a creative agency, design firm, or in-house creative team
  • Portfolio required

 

Skills

  • Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite ( Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator and Lightroom )
  • Experience bringing ideas to life with high-quality comps using creative software and other tools
  • Experience developing concepts and designing to strategy, collaboration
  • Concept and create campaigns across multiple digital and print mediums, including mobile, website, TV, digital marketing, video, events, etcetera.
  • Organized and process-oriented, with the ability to work independently and to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment with copywriters, marketers & departmental stakeholders.
  • Video editing and motion design experience is a preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention-to-detail
  • Skilled in project prioritization
  • MacOS experience preferred
  • Product knowledge and brand identification a plus

Duties require planning, organizing, and performing a variety of duties applying a wide range of procedures and rules.  Duties require attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, reliability, timeliness, alertness, and use of judgment.  Also requires writing ability, creativity, and concentration.  Access to and use of confidential data where discretion/sensitivity is of utmost importance.  Mature judgment and confidence.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequently required to walk, sit, talk, and hear.  Occasionally required to stand, reach, stoop, and handle and/or lift and up to 25 pounds.  Must be able to check reports for completion and accuracy and to retrieve and transmit information.  Use of general office environment equipment.
