A Sweet Treat: Peppermint Bark

Craving something sweet, cool, and utterly irresistible? This peppermint bark recipe is the perfect treat to satisfy your holiday cravings and spread some festive cheer! With layers of rich chocolate and a crisp peppermint crunch, it’s the candy that truly tastes like the season.
Materials Used:
- 1 large bag semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 large bag white chocolate chips
- 1 cup peppermint candies, crushed
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
- Container for storage
Directions:
1. Place foil or parchment paper on a baking sheet and spray with cooking spray.
2. Melt all semisweet chocolate chips in the microwave in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second increments. Stir in between each time.
3. Spoon out onto parchment paper and smooth out. Cool completely.
4. Next, melt the white chocolate in 15 second increments in a microwave safe bowl.
5. Add peppermint extract and mix well.
6. Spoon onto semisweet chocolate and smooth out.
7. Sprinkle crushed peppermint on top. Cool completely so your Peppermint Bark is able to be snapped apart!
