Cute and efficient, not as seasonal as expected
"PROS: the layout was more useful than I expected initially. (Context: I am a homeschooling SAHM/military wife. I opted for a BIG colorblock planner for organizing my kids’ school; but am experimenting with layouts for appointment tracking. ). Initially I debated between the Classic Skinny and Skinny Mini for an appointment book. The seasonal theme won me over but I was initially disappointed that I’d 1) underestimated the size (it’s a bit too tall for my Loungefly mini backpack); and 2) assumed each month would have its own seasonal print. However, once I discovered that my BIG planner didn’t give me enough space for both my kids’ school planning AND my daily tasks, I was happier about the larger-than-mini size. The horizontal layout is working well. CONS: I’ll be the second reviewer to express disappointment with the monthly spread themes. Hearts (all winter months) may be “cozy”, but they don’t really convey “winter” or “Christmas”. And strawberries (all spring months) are a summer fruit. I would have expected something marketed as “seasonal” to have snow or “new year/new me” for January, reserve hearts for February; green things for March, April showers or baby animals for April, flowers for May, and so forth. Sunflowers for all of summer and pumpkins for all of fall weren’t as jarring, at least. That said, this may just be a personal preference/interpretation of the theme. Still enjoying the planner overall. In fact, my husband is jealous HP doesn’t offer a custom/generic option for the skinny classic. :D"
