CREEPY CUPCAKES
By: Katie | @fake.it.til.ya.make.it
There is nothing my kids and I love more than creating fun, spooky treats for Halloween! These Creepy Cupcakes are just that, plus they are quick and easy. Perfect for little ones to help decorate and a great treat to bring to any Halloween party!
Ingredients:
- 1 Box of cake mix
- 3 Eggs
- 1 ¼ Cup of milk
- ½ Cup of vegetable oil
- Oreos
- Gummy worms
- Milano cookies
- Frosting
- White melting chocolate
Directions:
- Make cupcakes per directions on the box (substitute milk for water for a moist cupcake).
- Let cool completely before frosting. We prefer chocolate frosting to give it that “fresh dirt” ambiance. You can even decorate cute cupcake holders with your favorite Happy Planner Halloween stickers!
- Melt white chocolate chips or melting chocolate. Dip half the Milano cookies in the white chocolate (these will be your ghosts). Lay them on a tray lined with wax paper, place in the fridge to set quicker.
- Use black gel frosting to write “RIP” on plain Milano cookies and draw eyes and a mouth on the dipped “ghost” Milano cookies.
- Crush Oreos to make “dirt” on the top of the cupcake.
- Push decorated Milano cookies into frosted cupcakes, and then sprinkle with crushed Oreos.
- Add gummy worms, candies, candy corn pumpkins and any Halloween shaped candy you want!
